The project ILC-HiGrade was created out of and is driven by one motivation: to build the International Linear Collider (ILC), a planned new particle accelerator to complement the Large Hadron Collider LHC at CERN and help answer some of mankind’s fundamental questions.
ILC-HiGrade addresses some of the key questions we need to answer before we can make the ILC happen: the quality of the superconducting cavities that will drive the particles to collision, and models on how a global endeavour like the ILC can be set up and governed. Work package 3, Dissemination and Outreach, communicates these efforts in the context of an international communications strategy. The goals are to strengthen the ILC community internally and to reach out to the larger scientific community and key political representatives.
